Student Success Statement  

"I trust that my hard work pays off."Tyler Haws- Tyler was a basketball player at Brigham Young University. He is a very talented player who has received standing ovations, but don’t get confused he was not born with all the talents that he has now. He got cut from a very good basaketball tema when he was in the third grade. His dad told him if you want anything in life all you have to do is work hard! And he did but with the help of his dad also. Everyday in the summer both of them woke up early in the morning to practice his shooting And his hard work paid off. He lead his high school to two back to back state champions, and he broke byu record of most points ! So hard work does pay off. 

Student Success Statement  

"True independence and freedom can only exist in doing what's right." Brigham Young- this quote is saying that the only way you can truly be free and independent is by obeying laws  and polcies.  Why because it is the right thing to do, when you do what is right then you are rewarded with freedom. As an example here at hpiam we have a uniform policy and let's say you chose the wrong and decide not to wear your uniform one day. Well because of that decision you receive 1 hour detention after school. That really limits your freedom doesn't it.  But if you would have done what is correct and wore you uniform then you would have had true freedom and independence.
