Student Success Statement  

"A man without a goal is like a ship without a rudder." Thomas Carlyle- This statement is basically saying that in school and in life you will always need goals to push you in a certain direction so that you can achieve your goal. Without a goal you will just float around in no direction. Your goals is your rudder it steers you where you need to goal. If you have no goals you are wasting your time because you are just going through life without a mission. For example if your goals is to pass a class then you will do what it takes to pass it. You are gonna stay after school studying extra hard, and because of that you pass your test with an A+. The goal to pass the test was your rudder it made you do something extra to complete your goal. 

 

Memorial Day weekend

Well this year i didn't do much this memorial day weekend. I played in Cerritos Memorial cup. This tournament was the entire weeknd. We played two games saturday, we won the first game but tied the second one. We managed to move on to the next round winning the third game 4-0. We got eliminated in the quarter finals in penalty kicks. After this game we went over to my aunt's house for a barbeque, we were also celebrating my cousin's birthday. Monday morning me and my brother changed a tire and his car. That day we just stayed home because some of our cousins came over.  

Student Success Statement  

"When a deep injury is done with us, we never recover until we forgive." Alan Paton- What this quote is saying is that in order for a person that has gone through something really hard in life the only way you can truly recover from this is to forgive. Forgiveness allows you to move on with your life, it gives you peace of mind it does what holding a grudge can't. Holding a grudge can only can only bring anger and pain you can never move on like this. For example a man named Robert killed two young ladies while he was driving drunk. He was sentence 22 years but the mother ask if he can serve only half of that time because she truly forgave him and he was truly sorry. This allowed the mother to move on.
